Staff & Leadership

Senior Pastor

I am a husband, father, and follower of Jesus Christ.  I love my family more than you could possibly imagine.  My wife is the best and I married way above my head.  I have no problem admitting that!  My sons are full of life and few things fuel my spirit like they do.  I love God’s heart, God’s Word, and God’s people!  I can’t imagine a more rewarding way to spend my life than pouring into the riches of His grace and getting to share that with others.  As such, I have the blessing of serving as the Senior Pastor at Vista Baptist Church.

My life and testimony can be summarized in two chapters.  Chapter 1 is pre-Jesus and it stinks!  Chapter 2 is post-Jesus and it’s THE BEST!

I also enjoy Cincinnati Reds baseball, reading, learning, Cincinnati Reds baseball, movies, sports, Cincinnati Reds baseball, being outdoors, fishing, woodworking, and exercising. Did I mention Cincinnati Reds baseball!

Associate Pastor

Associate Pastor of Evangelism and Discipleship

I’ve been given the privilege to be the husband to Sarah (my better half for sure!) and “dada” to the rambunctious, yet sweet Emmalynn. I grew up in the church and am passionate about restoration of the established church. I started following Christ at 16, was called into vocational ministry by 18, and was given a vision and desire to work within the established church to restore great families of faith and restore their reach into their communities. My family has seen God work in the greatest of ways as we live by faith in action. I finished up my Masters of Theological Studies degree at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary December 2016 and in that discovered a fire in me to continuously learn more about God’s Word and His church. We joined Vista March 2016 and I started serving as the Associate Pastor of Evangelism and Discipleship in March 2017. I also work at Farmers Insurance here in Olathe in the claims department. We are excited to see what God continues to do in the life of Vista and the community around us.

I grew up around Kansas City, which means I was born into Chiefs Kingdom. While Chiefs’ football is my absolute favorite, I have grown to enjoy some Royals baseball as well. Beyond the sports teams in my city, I also will never turn down good BBQ, and have a great sense of pride for my city. I desire to see this vibrant and flourishing city come to know Christ in a big way. I make hobbies out of running, working out, reading, spending time with my family, and fishing.

Worship Pastor

About Me

Husband to Christina, father to Wickam. I am passionate about leading the church family in corporate worship of our Lord and Savior. My hope for Vista is that we would be a worshiping body, shaped by the person of Jesus and His Life. I pray that Olathe would see our worship lived out in how we display the Gospel in the way we love, serve and give.
